1. Muri Lagoon SUP Yoga with KiteSUP
KiteSUP offers a unique SUP yoga experience on the serene Muri Lagoon. Join them for a relaxing 1 hr 30 mins private class session. No experience is necessary – you’ll be taught how to paddle and enjoy beginner-friendly yoga poses.
For a change of scenery, try their Pilates classes at “Pilates Cook Islands” above the surf shop (see point #2 below!).
Whatever you choose, activities are available Sunday through Friday, giving you plenty of opportunities to find your balance on the water!
Location: KiteSUP operates from two locations: a watersport centre on Muri Beach in Ngatangiia (southeast coast) and a surf shop in Nikao (northwest coast).

While not technically yoga, Pilates Cook Islands offers a fantastic wellness experience that’s well worth considering. Created by Brynn Acheson from KiteSUP (see above), this studio brings people together in a space that supports empowerment and holistic wellbeing.
The air-conditioned studio boasts ocean views and offers a range of classes, including reformer Pilates, mat Pilates, and barre. There’s even a small retail section for fitness enthusiasts.
The studio promotes movement as a form of healing, making it a perfect spot to rejuvenate your body and mind while on holiday. Take advantage of this opportunity to stay fit and relaxed during your getaway in the Cook Islands!
Location: Main Road (Ara Tapu), Avarua, northwest coast of Rarotonga. Located on the second floor of a new building on the east side of the airport, on the mountainside of the road. Upstairs from KiteSUP shop.

Nestled at a verdant inland location in the quiet district of Matavera and sometimes operating from the waterfront shala at Kiikii Inn, Skuha School of Yoga offers yoga classes, retreats, sports massages and more.
Join your experienced tutor, Michelle, who has more than 20 years of personal training, sports massage therapy, bodybuilding and teaching of Reiki, for one of her rejuvenating yoga classes in a purpose-built Polynesian-style yoga pavilion.
There are classes available every day from Monday to Saturday, while private tutoring (as well as yoga teaching certifications) are available. Check out their Facebook Page for details.

Once you see the gorgeous accommodations in Rarotonga and the Cook Islands, you’ll want more excuses not to leave! With that in mind, bring the yoga to you by enjoying a private yoga mat session at your resort, villa or holiday home.

Finally, while there are no scheduled yoga classes or yoga instructors on Aitutaki (at least, at the time of writing – this page will be updated if any become available), the blissful paradise atoll with its clear turquoise waters and pristine sandbanks is a favourite destination for yoga retreats.
